Maxville Estate 2022 Old Vine Zinfandel

The 2022 Maxville Old Vine Zinfandel is a vivid expression of Chiles Valley terroir and the character that only mature vines can deliver. In the glass, it reveals a deep ruby hue with crimson edges, hinting at its richness and depth.

Aromatically expressive, the nose bursts with black raspberry, wild blueberry, and sun-dried plum, layered with warm baking spices, cedar, and a touch of black pepper. Subtle notes of vanilla bean and cocoa emerge as the wine opens, adding nuance and charm.

On the palate, this Zinfandel is plush and full-bodied, yet balanced by bright acidity and polished tannins. Flavors of ripe boysenberry, cherry compote, and brambly fruit lead into secondary notes of cinnamon, clove, and a touch of sweet tobacco. The finish is long and smooth, with lingering spice and fruit that invite another sip.
